IMPORTANT - PLEASE REad

The Fusion Home operates and invoices through its corporation: Little Frog SRL (Cédula jurídica 3102711410)

 

*There is no shop, restaurant, office or dedicated staff onsite to assist you (other than your meet and greet hosts who will escort you to the home). If you are not comfortable staying on your own in the jungle then we do not recommend booking any of the homes available to rent privately at Finca Bellavista. 

*If you do not like bugs, snakes, hiking to and from the car park to get to your rental, lack of phone signal and/or internet then we do not recommend staying at Finca Bellavista (The Fusion Home does offer a mobile hotspot connection strong enough to stream Netflix/youtube etc)

* We highly recommend (insist) that all guests wear boots or wellies, at the very least, closed toed shoes are a must. You are coming to the rainforest in one of the world's most biodiverse places, it must be respected to ensure for a good experience. In order to explore the grounds, all residents/owners and guests need to sign a
liability waiver before arriving onsite - you will receive a link in your payment confirmation email and it can be filled out digitally in less than 5 minutes.

Personal note: We have lived within the Finca Bellavista community for a nearly a decade, we would not stay here if it was not safe. Since the inception of the community (2006) there has never been a documented bite or serious accident, most slips happen in the river as the rocks can be slippery. If you are respectful of the jungle, wear your boots, carry a flashlight and some common sense, you will be just fine and share in an experience like no other - Matt, Amy and MJ

Renting the fusion home

RENTING THE FUSION HOME

If renting 'The Fusion Home - The Entire House' (with Matt and Amy in the Tiny Home) then we will be on the property to assist you either in person, through Airbnb messenger, whatsapp or email. 

If renting 'The Fusion Home - The Entire Property To Yourselves' then we will be a short drive away, stay in contact via Airbnb, whatsapp or email and provide a contact number for someone onsite for any emergency situations. 

All homes onsite are privately owned and are not to be entered without permission from the owner. Exploring the river, waterfalls, trails and jungle is at your own risk and a digital liability waiver will need to be signed before checking in. 

Check in hours are strictly between 12 - 5 pm. It is the responsibility of the guests to contact the
meet and greet hosts prior to their arrival day to arrange a mutually agreed time to meet. The easiest way to contact is through 'whatsapp' and numbers will be provided (Spanish and English) via your 'payment confirmation' email received after making payment or through the Airbnb messaging service.  

Cancellation policy: Whether booking through Airbnb or direct through the website, the cancellation policy is the same: Full refund up to 5 days prior to arrival. After that, 50% refund, minus first night and service fee.
 

  • if you wish to cancel through Airbnb then please do so from your personal Airbnb account
     

  • if you wish to cancel a direct booking then please do so here. You will need your reservation number and email used when making the booking to log in.

(Please note, if paying with PayPal then you will receive the full refund amount that PayPal allows, this may result in losing the PayPal service fee when being refunded if the reservation is more than 6 months old)

 

Taxes and services: Taxes are included in all rental options. Please note however, if renting through Airbnb, an additional cleaning fee of $60.00 and a 15% service fee is added to the listing price. If renting direct from 'The Fusion Home' website then all taxes and service fees are included. 

Internet: The Fusion Home offers a mobile connection decent enough for browsing, streaming Netflix and Youtube. There is a 50g allowance so please no downloading. Most times the connection is fine but it can go in and out based on the Kolbi tower service. We recommend bringing your own sim card as a backup. Mobile signal throughout the Finca Bellavista is very sporadic and only works in certain places (the old communal gardens / Perezosa are good spots). Amy works from home online and I built and monitor the Fusion Home website from 'The Fusion Home' (it works for us). 

Reviews can be left through Airbnb or 'The Fusion Home google my business account'. We also have a section in the 'Fusion Forum' dedicated to the home. It requires membership to post, comment and share any suggestions - we would love to hear from you! Sign up is free.

The Fusion Home is not a property management company and takes no responsibility for your stay at Finca Bellavista or in any of the private rentals. We are assisting our fellow neighbours by providing a booking platform - it is your responsibility to make sure you have read and understood all the information found through 'The Fusion Forum' as well as reviewing all information once you have booked your requested dates. You will have 24 hours to review additional information that gets sent to your email at the time of requesting, if payment is not received before the 24 hours then the dates will automatically be released and no further action from you is required.

Contact with the owner of the home: If you wish to speak to the owner of your rental prior to booking then please sign up the Fusion Forum and search for owner of your desired home. If needing to contact after confirming your booking then responding to the 'Payment confirmation' email will go directly to the owner.

Taxes and services: The nightly/weekly/monthly rate advertised does not include tax or service. A cleaning charge of $60.00 and 13% tax (rental only) is added on top of the rental rate. If renting through Airbnb then an additional 15% service charge is added (this is Airbnb's fee). The Fusion Home has nothing to do with payments received for reservations or services - all money transactions are between the guest/tenant and owner of the rental home. 

Internet: There is no internet within any of the rentals. Phone signal is sporadic and limited. The old communal gardens and area close to Perezosa have the best consistent signal. If internet is important to you then we do not recommend visiting. 

Reviews/comments/suggestions can be left via the owners personal Airbnb, 'google my business' and profiles within the Fusion Forum - we would love to hear from you! Sign up is free.

Services

USING THE SERVICES OFFERED ON OUR WEBSITE

As with the owners of the homes, we would also like to assist the former employees of Finca Bellavista with work opportunities. Any money received when making the reservation goes to the owner of the home and any services that may be included (night hike, Finca Fresh bagmeet and greet, cleaning) will be paid directly to the former employee by the owner. The former employees are independent consultants responsible for their own taxes and policies. The Fusion Home makes no commission nor receives anything in return for their services other than the pleasure of seeing them keep some of their previous work within the community. We hope to provide as many opportunities as possible for all former employees.

The meet and greet service is covered by the owner of your rental. Extra trips or taking advantage of your meet and greets taxi services are at your own expense and can be discussed directly with your hosts. 

Finca Fresh bags and Night Hikes: 
If you booked through Airbnb and would like to add a service - please message the owner through the Airbnb messaging service and they will arrange the service on your behalf. Payment can be handled through Airbnb. 

If booking direct through the Fusion Home website then you can add the services as extras at the same time as making and paying for the reservation. If you need to adjust or change the order then please contact the owner by responding to the 'payment confirmation' email. Thank you.
