Where does the Finca Fresh produce come from?
The phrase 'Finca Fresh' was coined during Finca Bellavista's hay day and was a popular option for guests. The bag was filled with a selection of fruits and vegetables straight from the former community gardens. Unfortunately, when the business shut, so did the gardens and sadly residents are not permitted to use the vivero as it is now considered private property
Here's the good news! The former head gardner "Felo Zuniga" (seen leading a garden tour of the once flourishing FBV gardens) is still producing fresh produce, only now on an even bigger scale!
We went to visit Felo and his family in Santa Rosa (about a 20 min drive from Finca Bellavista) to see what he has been getting up too since leaving FBV.
We knew Felo was talented, we've been working with him for 8 years but what we didn't know was that his own personal gardens made the former communities gardens look like amateurs!
