This unique rental, part of the Finca Bellavista community, boasts rich wooden features and furnishings along with plenty of cozy, rustic touches. Relax or dine out on your balconies and watch for visiting hummingbirds, toucans, and hawks. This home also features a well-equipped kitchenette and an outdoor, hot water shower. Please note this treehouse is a 30-minute hike from the car park, pack light!
Short-term rate (4 people max): $70.00 per night
Weekly rate (2 people max): $300.00 per week

The property is a 25 min - 30 min walk from basecamp. This is a pedestrian community only - please pack light.

Fila Tortuga is situated on the red trail (FBV's internal road). The road is made up of loose rock - please remember boots.

The home has 2 bathrooms with shower in each (main room / living space with novelty outdoor shower) - it has hot water.

The kitchen has a gas stovetop.

Fila Tortuga has been dubbed a favorite by guests for many years as the 'honeymoon nest'.
MEET AND GREET
There is no office on the property or onsite staff. The community is made up of private home owners, residents, work exchange applicants and guests.
There is also no phone signal coming up the road to Finca Bellavista or at the car park so a time to meet with a member of the community needs to be prearranged. Once a booking is confirmed, you will be able to share your arrival day through the Fusion Forum where a member of the community will make themselves available to meet you.
Once you have been introduced to an available community member, you will be able to update them directly should your travel day or arrival time change. Once onsite, they will escort you to my home and ensure everything is operational and comfortable before leaving you to enjoy Fila Tortuga.
You are welcome to sign up to the Fusion Forum before making a booking, it's free to do so and you can ask questions directly to the community.

MEET THE OWNER
Adam Rayfield first visited Finca Bellavista back in 2014 and dreamed of calling it home ever since. His dream became a reality as he became the new owner of Fila Tortuga in 2021. Born and raised in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada, Adam spent his childhood outdoors hiking and exploring the forests around his home. Currently, Adam is the Head of the Physical Education Department and Sports Coordinator at an international school in Caracas, Venezuela.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys hiking, camping, bird watching, scuba diving and practicing improving his nature photography skills. In addition to Venezuela, Adam has lived and taught in Egypt, South Korea, China, Thailand and travelled extensively around the world. He considers the jungles at Finca Bella Vista to be the most incredible place he has explored and is excited to share his home away from home with you.
CANCELLATION
You are welcome to cancel with a full refund up until 5 days prior to your check-in date. A 50% refund (minus the first night and service fee) is available up until 12.00 noon the day of your check in.
All guests must sign a digital liability waiver before arriving onsite, you cannot explore the property or take part in any onsite activities unless this is completed.
DIRECTIONS
Finca Bellavista is located in the Central American country of Costa Rica, in the Southern Zone (on the Pacific Coast side). The Finca Bellavista community is 3 kilometers east of the InterAmericana Highway, near the town of Piedras Blancas (in between the cities of Palmar Norte and Rio Claro).
