Fresh and healthy pico de gallo is so easy. Casa Mariposa has plenty of cutting boards and knives, which is all you need. Chop these 5 healthy ingredients and you’re ready to enjoy it.
Ingredients:
4 medium ripe red tomatoes
1 white or red onion
1 Jalapeno
1/2 cup cilantro
juice of 1 lime
1/2 tsp salt
tortilla chips
Optional:
diced cucumber
diced red pepper
diced mango
Directions:
1. Finely chop onion and jalapeno
2. Let onion and jalapeno marinate in lime juice and salt
3. Finely chop cilantro
4. Core tomatoes and remove seeds, finely chop every bit of each tomato
5. Add tomato and cilantro to onion and jalapeno
Enjoy with plenty of tortilla chips ... or natchos ... or eggs ... or spaghetti
