This beautiful two-story cabina is the first rental nestled on the Finca Bellavista red trail making it a 10 - 15 min hike at most. Features include a king-sized bedroom with 360-degree views, kitchenette, hot water shower, and balcony. Given the surrounding young forest, this home shares it space with local favorite animals such as Coatis, Toucans and the occasional sloth. Enjoy countless hours of birdwatching and reading from the generously sized front balcony. An occasional 3g connection is present at this home.

The property is a 10 min - 15 min walk from basecamp. This is a pedestrian community only - please pack light.

Casa Perezosa is situated on the red trail (FBV's internal road). The road is made up of loose rock - please remember boots.

The home has 1.5 bathrooms with shower and toilet downstairs and toilet upstairs - it has hot water.

The kitchen has a gas stovetop with oven.

Given Casa Perezosa's proximity to the car park, you should be able to carry a cooler box 😉.
MEET AND GREET
There is no office on the property or onsite staff. The community is made up of private home owners, residents, work exchange applicants and guests.
There is also no phone signal coming up the road to Finca Bellavista or at the car park so a time to meet with a member of the community needs to be prearranged. Once a booking is confirmed, you will be able to share your arrival day through the Fusion Forum where a member of the community will make themselves available to meet you.
Once you have been introduced to an available community member, you will be able to update them directly should your travel day or arrival time change. Once onsite, they will escort you to my home and ensure everything is operational and comfortable before leaving you to enjoy Perezosa.

MEET THE OWNER
Josh Smalley is an international educator, currently residing full time in Ethiopia. Josh teaches Literature, photography, and journalism. He traveled all around the world and has lived on three continents. Josh dabbles with a number of interests: novice cello player, photographer, painter, novice videographer, hiker, wildlife conservation enthusiast, novice journalist, health enthusiast, real estate investor, and writer. Upon his first visit to Finca Bellavista, he vowed to own a tree house and invest in the community. Years later, that dream finally came true.

CANCELLATION
You are welcome to cancel with a full refund up until 5 days prior to your check-in date. A 50% refund (minus the first night and service fee) is available up until 12.00 noon the day of your check in.
All guests must sign a digital liability waiver before arriving onsite, you cannot explore the property or take part in any onsite activities unless this is completed.
DIRECTIONS
Finca Bellavista is located in the Central American country of Costa Rica, in the Southern Zone (on the Pacific Coast side). The Finca Bellavista community is 3 kilometers east of the InterAmericana Highway, near the town of Piedras Blancas (in between the cities of Palmar Norte and Rio Claro).
