Hola new friend!
We hope you are as excited to visit as we are to meet you. While we consider to be living in luxury and couldn't be happier with our lifestyle, we understand that it's very different to what's considered living in "the real world".

Please ask anything you like and we will do our best to help you prepare. If you have already visited us or the Finca Bellavista community, then please feel free to comment below or offer suggestions.
Have a fantastic day and see you soon!
Matt and Amy
Buenas Tardes Matt and Amy, Your home and Costa Rica looks so amazing, Kelly and I are very excited to visit your lovely home this April. With the ever changing news on covid-19, we hope we still get to travel. We're thinking positive!!! We will keep you updated on our situation in the states, if there is anything you can share as what is happening in CR, that would be greatly appreciated. We do have a few questions :) about your place and the Finca. We will be renting a car and driving from San Jose, you do have a place for us to park correct? Also we will get to partake in all the festivities at the finca as well ? Do recommend us buying a cheap pair of rain boots when we get in cr, do not really want to pack them. How bad are the mosquitoes in April? These are just a few Your help is Muy apreciada. Take Care and we so look forward to meeting you two.
Regards,
Dave & Kelly
Hola Dave & Kelly
We are excited to meet you guys and feel like we already know you through social media - thanks for always supporting us!
We really hope the Corvid-19 virus disappears soon for everybody's sake, thankfully the numbers are still low in Costa Rica. There are 23 confirmed cases so far and no deaths, we have seen a lot of effort go into containing it already and Costa Rica is doing a great job being proactive. The shops all have complementary hand sanitizers outside and they are encouraging the general public to be smart about it. The following is taken of the 'Tico Times' website:
It's just over 1 month to go until you guys are due to visit - I'd like to think that things will be back to normal by then 😀. Ok, enough about the virus...
Parking:
I happen to be sitting in the Rancho as I write this so I just took a picture of the car park at Basecamp. That's our Fusion Van you can see in the distance 😀
The car park is about a 10 min hike from our house (15 - 20 min first time as you will most likely be carrying some stuff). It's a steep hike so remember to pack lightly!
Activities:
Yes, you can participate in everything Finca Bellavista has to offer! You can read more about Finca Bellavista here. Currently the e-bikes are not in operation but you can still zip-line, explore the trails (red/green and orange) and other awesome houses, get a riverside massage, do a nighthike and enjoy the food and beverage options (very important: Happy hour in the Rancho is from 4:30 - 6:30pm)
There office hours are 9am -5pm
Rain Boots:
You can pretty much always find a pair of boots at the office, especially in April (it's a little quieter in terms of guests onsite) but if you want to make sure you have a comfortable pair with a good fit, then we would recommend purchasing a pair in Costa Rica. You can find them almost anywhere and usually cost around $20.00. At the very least, we recommend closed toed hiking boots - it's a jungle out there!
Mosquitoes:
To be honest, we don't even notice them - year round. They may be more noticeable in some of the houses under the canopy or closer to the river but they certainly are not an issue at 'The Fusion Home'. We do not have mosquito nets around any of the beds in our home, they simply are not needed. The entire house (windows) however is wrapped in a product called 'superscreen' which we imported from the States during construction and its works fantastically well.
I think I've answered all your questions, I really hope that the plans continue and we get to meet you both in April. I have allocated you badges (as you completed certain criteria) that will get you into the locked categories where you will find more information on houses currently for sale and others offering long-term rent etc. There is also info on volunteering (great way to get a real feel for the community!)
Stay safe and hope to see you guys soon,
Matt and Amy
Thank you so much Matt and Amy thats very helpful and we will probably have more questions but pretty much just looking forward to coming to your place relax and enjoy all Costa Rica has to offer :) Pura Vida
